Emergency Phone
The BLFD maintains an emergency phone located at the front of the Fire Station (in between the two apparatus bay doors). It provides direct access to the Plumas County 911 Communications Center in Quincy. If you don’t have access to other forms of communication to call 911 in an emergency, you can use this phone 24 hours a day. The area is lighted during nighttime hours.
In order to access the phone, just open the box and lift the phone receiver. It will automatically connect with Plumas County 911 (no dialing required). When the dispatcher answers your call, please be ready to provide the type of emergency you are reporting (fire/medical/law enforcement, other emergency), location of the incident, and your call back information.
